What cloud computing supports is far more valuable than the capability to do the same stuff faster. Its true value lies in its capability to enable innovation \u2013 doing different stuff that couldn\u2019t be done before.\u00a0<\/p>\n<p>\nTo illustrate this, <a href=\"http:\/\/www.cio.com\/article\/2971263\/cloud-apps\/innovation-in-the-cloud-do-it-yourself-online-eye-exams.html\" rel=\"nofollow\" target=\"_blank\">I cited the example of Opternative<\/a>, a company that has just had its online eye examination technology approved by the FDA.
