Instagram is continuing in the crack down either way.<\/p>\n Facebook Confirms Live Broadcasting Will Soon Open to Journalists and Verified Profiles<\/b><\/p>\n Well, that was fast… In response to requests about when they\u2019d get access to the VIP-only Facebook Live, Facebook will soon grant the ability to a much wider swath of users who have verified Profiles, meant for public figures that aren\u2019t quite as “famous”. This includes some more entertainers, athletes, politicians,\u00a0journalists. \u00a0Normal users were not given broadcast access and that could be because the platform needs some technical work. Or<\/i>, it could be that Facebook wanted to start with celebrities to teach users what\u2019s interesting to stream, avoiding the\u00a0\u201cHello world\/this is my breakfast\u201d broadcasts that could convince people livestreams aren\u2019t fun to watch. Original content is a focal point for expansion.<\/p>\n YouTube Live Broadcast Announced, Google\u2019s Periscope Competitor<\/b><\/p>\n YouTube is launching another live broadcasting service, in the same vein of Periscope and Meerkat.
